General Conference Q&A

Can Teachers & Counselors attend?
Five attendee slots are available for teachers and counselors only. Teachers and counselors are required to pay the full conference fee. In order to provide the best possible experience for attendees and encourage networking and participation in session discussions, we prefer that parents and guardians not attend or participate in the sessions.
What should I wear?
Business attire is recommended. Pants are acceptable, but no jeans or lounge pants please. Consider wearing clothes that you might wear to a college or job interview. The conference facility is heated, but because the temperatures may vary, we encourage wearing layered clothing. You may consider bringing a sweater or jacket.
What should I bring?
We will give each attendee a pad folio and a pen for taking notes and completing session evaluations, so bringing your own pen and paper is optional.
What food and beverages will be provided?
A light continental breakfast will be provided from 8:00 until 8:30 a.m. during morning check in. A mid-morning break will include fruits, veggies, and other snacks.
Is there a sitting area for parents, guardians, and counselors to wait during the conference?
Yes, a sitting area is available for anyone who would like to remain at the conference venue during the day. The area is conveniently located near the session rooms.
What time should attendees plan to be picked up after conference ends?
Anyone transporting a conference attendee should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the end of the conference at 12:30 p.m. Attendees will then receive certificates of completion for reaching “The Finish Line.” This session is schedules to begin at 12:00 p.m., but may begin earlier if we run ahead of schedule.
